In the sixth century a.C. Etruscan civilization marks the peak of its glory; the name of the park comes from the town of Veio.
Even from the centuries preceding the territory dependent on the Etruscan city was occupied by a network of road systems and agricultural settlements, which was built a system of exploitation and disposal of spring water and rainwater, and constructed a system of tunnels and drainage collection.
The system of settlements survived to the Roman conquest and the consequent total destruction of the town of Veio by Furio Camillo in 396 a.C.

Tours on horseback
The route, about 12 Km, follows a varied and suggestive route for the types of landscapes and views.
The starting point of the route is located before the bridge of Valle del Sorbo, thus creating a natural continuity with this, and winds along the liaison between Park and Veio Park Treja.
At the Santuario della Madonna del Sorbo, a monumental complex which dates back to the fifteenth century, was built a facility for the stop and the view of the surrounding landscape.
