| Santa Marinella is a municipality in the Province of Rome in the Italian region Lazio, located about 60 km northwest of Rome.
It includes the beach resort of Santa Severa (the ancient Pyrgi), and a medieval castle.
With its beaches, hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs it became the first meeting place for artists, writers, film personalities from the world of politics and the international jet set.
It assumed the title of "Pearl of the Tirreno" and began to compete with Saint-Tropez and San Remo.
