The touristic Port of Rome


The origin of the port

The touristic Port of Rome was built near the place where it stood seaport at Ostia built by the Claudius in 42 AD.

The ancient port was subsequently enlarged by Trajan, in 113 AD, and renamed Portus Romae. Due to its strategic location on the mouth of the Tiber, the commercial port was used for five centuries until it was the fall of the Roman Empire.

Currently the port area is surrounded by an oasis protected, managed to LIPU "Italian League for the Protection of Birds that enriches the area, contributing to environmental protection.

Shops and activities


The Port of Roma hosts shops and businesses of all kinds: supermarket, bank, post office, stores spare parts and accessories for boating, boutique brands famous, restaurants, nautical agencies, kiosk, for a total of 75 shops. The "square" and "walk" are the structural elements which revolves around the life of the mall. The pedestrian areas are well separated from passable to vehicles. Box and covered parking, internal and external to the complex, offering a total of 2,000 parking spaces over a long bike path around 1.3 km.

From Rome and The Fiumicino Airport


From Fiumicino airport take the SS296 state to Ostia
Exit on VIA THE BRIDGE OF TOR BOACCIANA to 137 mt.
Continue on VIA TANCREDI CHIARALUCE to 1.7 km.
Turn right VIA THE MARTINIQUE to 497 meters.
Turn right VIA THE TORTUGA to 310 mt.
Continue on VIA DELL'IDROSCALO to 163 mt.
Turn left VIA MARIO Mastrangelo for 82 mt.
Turn right VIA DOMENICO BAFFIGO to 151 mt.
Turn left VIA CARLO Avegno to 202 mt.
