Unusual funerary monument built in 20 b.C., measuring 29,50 sqm at the base and a height of 36,40 m. It is the grave of Caio Cestio Epulone, tribune of the people, friend of Agrippa.
Originally the pyramid was adorned with two statues of which only the basements remain; the columns were raised by Pope Alexander VII during the restoration works in 1656. In that occasion also the burial chamber (4x6 mt) was inspected and found to be decorated with decorative frescoes, even though not well-preserved, on the wall and the barrel vault.
