From Rome Termini:

Trains to the airport start at 5:52am in the morning, with trains running at 22 and 52 minutes after the hour. The last train of the day departs at 10.52pm

From Rome's Fiumicino International Airport:

a bit of history::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Termini Station

Termini Station was inaugurated in 1873. It takes its name from its location in the square where there were the ruins of Diocletianus Baths. It was built on the estate expropriated to the family of the Princes Massimo. It was designed by the architect Salvatore Bianchi and at the beginning the two long parallel constructions were the seat of the support services of Roma – Frascati and Roma – Ceprano lines. During the excavation of the “Monte della Giustizia” (Justice Mount), a heap of millenary rubble coming from the construction of the baths, the “aggere” (agger) in “saxo quadrato” was brought to light. It probably dates back to the IV century b.C., when the Servian Wall was fortified in the vain attempt to stem the invasion of the Gauls leaded by Brennus. Termini Station was completely modified in the occasion of the Jubilees of 1950 and 2000, but the ancient elements of the agger, whose ruins are perfectly visible, were maintained, in perfect harmony with the modern infrastructures, between which there is also a trading centre.
